02 Why Mauro Electric
"I have told many people they don't need a panel change and why, because I care about the customer not spending their money if it's not needed." Ricky Mauro, owner
Somebody is supposed to add up what your house actually uses before they size a generator. Most skip it, and the difference is thousands of dollars. Ricky does the calculation at your house, shows you the paper, and has talked a lot of people down to a smaller unit.
Ricky does not just install them. He has torn generators down to nothing, replaced the engine, put them back together and turned them back on. The install gets done by someone who knows what the inside looks like.
We pull the permits and handle the inspection. It matters later: if something goes wrong and there was never a permit, your insurer has a reason to say no. We cannot promise what an inspector decides, nobody honestly can, but the filing is ours to get right.
Ricky gives you the price at the house, in writing, while he is standing there. Not an email next week, and not a range that moves once the crew arrives.
That is not a slogan. He has told people they do not need the work and explained why, because he would rather they kept the money. It is the reason the calculation goes on paper in the first place.
You are not being routed through a call centre or handed to five contractors at once. The man who does the calculation is the man who owns the company.
03 The thing you are doing now
So you bought a portable. Gas runs, a cord through the window, starting it at two in the morning. It works, in the sense that a bucket works when the roof leaks.
A standby unit sits outside, runs off the gas line, and starts itself. You do not have to be awake. You do not have to be home. That last part is the whole point: the freezer does not spoil and the pipes do not freeze at ten degrees while you are in Arizona.
04 What happens next
Two more questions on the next screen and you are done.
Inside one business day, from a 360 number, to find a time that works.
He walks the house, adds up the actual load, and shows you the calculation on paper. Usually under an hour.
In writing, on the visit. If you go ahead, we pull the permits and handle the inspection.
05 Questions
It depends on the size the calculation lands on, how far the unit sits from your panel and your gas meter, and what your transfer switch needs to cover. That is exactly why Ricky prices it at the house instead of guessing over the phone. You get the number on the visit, in writing, free.
Yes, free, and there is no obligation. You get the load calculation on paper showing what your house actually draws, the size of unit that matches it, and the installed price. You keep all of it whether or not you buy.
Yes, and we pull it. We handle the inspection too. We cannot promise what an inspector will decide on the day, nobody honestly can, but the filing is ours to get right and we do.
Then you probably want a service rather than an install. We service generators other companies put in, including Generac and Honeywell. Tell us on the form and we will point you at the right thing.
The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 4:30, and we call back inside one business day. September through December is the busy stretch for generators, so earlier in the season means more choice of dates.
06 Service area
We are based in Bothell and cover the Eastside and south Snohomish County. Generators come with noise rules that vary by city, and that is one of the things Ricky checks on the visit.

The price comes before he leaves. If the answer is that you do not need it, he will tell you that too.
